During the winter months, many people have dry, dull, brittle, or hair. As the winter hits, a bad hair day can last an entire season. In fact, even if you live in a moderate climate, experts say you're still susceptible to hair-raising changes as the seasons pass.
- Wear a scarf or cap to protect your hair from the cold and wind.
- Do not shampoo your hair too often.
- Use a conditioner daily.
- Try using a dry shampoo if you need to wash out your hair.
- Don't go outside with your hair wet, you risk breakage.
- Lock in hair moisture by running your hair through cold water.
- Do not overuse your hairdryer.
- Limit your use of curling irons.
- Avoid washing your hair in hot water. Use warm or cool water instead, the heat can dry out and/or damage your hair and skin.
